Cayamant is a municipality in Quebec, Canada, located in the La Vallée-de-la-Gatineau Regional County Municipality in the Outaouais region, southwest of Maniwaki, northwest of Gracefield, and southwest of Blue Sea.

Established in 1906 as the municipality of Dorion Township, it received its current name at the end of 1988 due to several issues arising from its identical name to that of the town of Dorion. The name chosen to identify the new municipality comes from the most prominent physical feature in the territory, Lake Cayamant, on whose shores a few settlers established themselves between 1890 and 1900. Furthermore, Lac-Cayamant identifies the locality that was truly established in 1918, the year of the canonical erection of the parish of Saint-Roch-du-Lac-Cayamant, which at that time comprised 52 families. It now encompasses the main population center as well as the local post office since 1943, formerly Lake Cayamont (1902-1943). The Algonquin term Kakgama, Kandikagamaw, or Kandikagama means "pig-cup lake," just as in Cree. Some also interpret it as Kantuagama, a lake with a large bay.
