Mont-Tremblant is a city located in the Laurentides Regional County Municipality, in the Laurentides administrative region, in Quebec (Canada). It takes its name from Mont Tremblant and is known as an international tourist destination, particularly due to the presence on its territory of the Tremblant ski resort and the Mont-Tremblant National Park.

The city is dominated by Mont Tremblant, with an altitude of 968 m, which is one of the highest peaks in southern Quebec.

Mont-Tremblant is now establishing itself as a tourist city with several major ski resorts, including the Tremblant resort, and numerous golf courses. Several projects are underway on the mountain, including the construction of a new tourist village on the Versant Soleil. Most tourists come from Ontario and New England, but the city is increasingly attracting Europeans and Asians.

The city was incorporated on November 22, 2000, following a controversial merger between the municipalities of Saint-Jovite, Saint-Jovite-Paroisse, Mont-Tremblant-Village and Lac-Tremblant-Nord. In 2004, as part of the municipal demerger process initiated by Jean Charest, the former municipality of Lac-Tremblant-Nord expressed in a referendum its desire to no longer be part of Mont-Tremblant. The other constituent municipalities rejected the idea.

The city budgeted for the 2008 fiscal year to rebuild the city hall at a cost of $7.8 million. At the time of its demolition, the old building, dating from the 1970s, was in a pitiful state.

Furthermore, Loto-Québec confirmed on April 13, 2008, the establishment of its fourth casino, which opened its doors on June 24, 2009, on the Versant Soleil site at a cost of $61 million. Loto-Québec had previously announced the establishment of a Ludoplex before modifying the project to establish a casino there.

Despite this dazzling economic growth, the citizens and the city administration want to live in harmony with nature and for the territory to remain in its wild state.
